How my journey began

My passion for families began as an elementary school teacher and took me into the health education field sparked by an interest in the health & wellness of the families in my classroom. Then, as I moved through my personal experience of navigating the assisted fertility process, birthing my first baby with a spouse on military deployment, and having a second baby spend her first 10 days of life in the NICU, my interest expanded to birth work. Being a doula allows me to combine my skills as an educator, my knowledge of how our bodies work, and my passion for navigating the foundational work of birth as a journey to parenthood.

I believe we all gather life experience that brings a unique perspective. I encourage clients to enter the birth process guided by evidence-based information while also trusting their own intuition.

I’m passionate about education, trusting our bodies to do the work, and holding space for birthing persons to welcome their babies earthside.

I value supporting all birthing persons through honest and vulnerable conversation, being trauma-informed, and respecting my place in your story. It’s your birth.
